Princess Amalia, oldest child of crown prince Willem Alexander and princess Máxima, celebrates her sixth birthday on Monday.
The princess is in the third year at the Bloemcamp school in Wasssenaar where she is described as a ‘spontaneous and sociable’ girl who ‘chats away to everyone’.
Talk of the playground, says the Telegraaf, is whether Amalia will now take up hockey like many of her classmates.
Tonight there is a special concert in her honour at the Kloosterkerk in the Hague, which will be attended by members of the royal household, ambassadors and members of the council of state.
