Christian Democrat and Socialist MPs have introduced a draft bill to ban the way agencies and ticket touts add hundreds of euros to the price of concerts and major sporting events.
The sale of tickets via third-party traders is putting up prices out of the reach of ordinary people, the parties say. The bill would rule out prices ‘such as €1,250 for a ticket for a Euro 2008 football match or €150 for a ticket to see Marco Borsato,’ SP MP Arda Gerkens told news agency ANP.
The draft bill would allow people to claim the ticket tout’s top-up back through the courts.
