DutchNews podcast – The Fact-Checking the Apocalypse Edition – Summer Special

Our regular podcast is taking a summer break until September, but we have a special edition exclusively for our Patreon subscribers, where you can hear Paul subject Molly and Gordon to a gruelling flash inburgeringcursus on Dutch contemporary culture. Find out, among other things, which building in The Hague looks like “a Gaudi church designed by the Soviets”, what type of tulips sparked the infamous bubble, how an act of brazen piracy forms the basis of today’s international maritime law, and why you should blame the Dutch when nuclear war breaks out.

All you have to do to hear it is pledge to pay us at least one Yankee dollar* a month on Patreon.

(PS: we were unaware when we started recording that our studio had been relocated to a building site, so apologies for the rumbling trucks in the background).

*We also explain the Dutch origin of Yankee, dollar and some other English words

For a guide to the podcast (for paying patrons) or a teaser (everyone else), here are the images we used for the quiz.
