Amsterdam’s canals and city centre squares are once again full of light sculptures and installations for the annual Light Festival.
‘Light festivals are flourishing, not just in Amsterdam, but everywhere around the world,’ a festival spokesman told the Telegraph. ‘They add more meaning to the public area, demonstrate culture and the beauty of simplicity and they bring people together.’
The art, which can be viewed either from the water or a special walk, is on show until January 18.
