The College bescherming persoonsgegevens (CBP) is Holland’s privacy watchdog, charged with making sure the data protection act is doing its job properly. It also makes recommendations to the government, mediates in disputes and handles complaints. The CBP’s work covers everything involving personal details, from medical and school records to the new public transport payment system and video surveillance cameras.
