The flag carrier also said it will not restart flights to the Saudi capital Riyadh until November 27 at the earliest, despite the reopening of King Khalid International Airport on Sunday. Scheduled flights to Dammam also remain suspended.
KLM had hoped to start flying to Dubai again at the end of October and to Saudi Arabia in early November, but the airline said the situation in the Middle East was too unstable.
It said it wanted to provide clarity to passengers and make the aircraft available to use on other routes.
King Khalid International Airport was closed following an attack two weeks ago that killed 13 people and left more than 300 injured. The Saudi government blamed Houthi rebels in Yemen, backed by Iran, for carrying out the strike.
A Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Saree, warned airlines and travellers not to use the airport after it reopened at the weekend, calling it a “military target”.
