The IamExpat Fair is returning to the Grote Kerk in The Hague on Saturday November 7 with more exhibitors than ever, three international centres from across South Holland and large sections for families and health.

The IamExpat Fair, now in its 24th edition, provides advice and services of all kinds for the international community, from housing and careers to schooling and leisure, including special offers only available for attendees. A limited number of free tickets are available online, after which they cost €6, or €10 at the door.

“We have an exciting lineup of exhibitors and workshops this year in The Hague,” says events manager Claire Leunissen.

“From exhibitors specialised in preparing newcomers for the inburgering exams, to career coaches experienced in advising expats, and stocking the health & leisure section with physical and mental resources, we’re confident that services at the IamExpat Fair will help internationals thrive. ”

Workshops, presentations and centres
Experts will run workshops throughout the day on topics including buying a house and securing a mortgage, job hunting and help with lifestyle and health. Places are limited, so make sure to book your chosen sessions in advance – you can sign up here.

The Hague International Centre will have a large stand, joined by representatives from across the province, including Leiden International Centre and the Rotterdam International Center, to answer practical questions about settling in the region.

Learning Dutch and finding work
For newcomers working toward the inburgering exams, there are resources from Inburgering Online and Easy Dutch, alongside language schools including Language Institute Regina Coeli, and Bart de Pau.

Career stands and coaches include recruitment agency Undutchables and Work & Worth Coaching, while Work in South Holland will explain the state of the labour market across the region’s main industries.

Families and health
The Family & Kids section brings together several international schools, including the International School of The Hague, The British School in the Netherlands, International School Delft and Optimist International School. There is also kids’ area where families can play games together.

The Health & Leisure section is one of the largest at the fair, with exhibitors ranging from mental health services to dentists and chiropractors.

The IamExpat Fair The Hague takes place in the Grote Kerk on Saturday November 7 from 10am to 5pm. Free tickets are available online while they last; after that, entry costs €6 in advance or €10 at the door. The first 1,000 visitors receive a free tote bag.
