Five reasons you might unexpectedly need a temporary Dutch home

A new job, a burst pipe, a divorce, a renovation gone on too long: there are more moments than you’d imagine when you might suddenly need somewhere to live. Here’s how serviced and flexible housing can step in, whatever the reason.

1. The new job or the temporary assignment
Relocating for work is the classic reason many people need a home in the Netherlands, but it’s far from the only version of it. Travelling nurses posted to a new hospital, researchers starting a fellowship, or consultants sent in for a few months on a project all arrive in the same position: they need somewhere to live, quickly, without signing up for a permanent rental contract.
