The winds, from the southwest, will reach up to 60 kph at times, while the hail could be as big as two centimetres across, the KNMI said.
The warning lasts until 9 pm on Tuesday evening.
The cool, changeable weather is set to continue for the rest of the week, with rain likely every day and temperatures no higher than 18°. This, the KNMI said, is cool for the time of year.
Drier weather will return by the weekend, when the temperature will also increase a little. Next week is set to see a return to sunny weather and summer temperatures heading towards the end of the month.
