Make the most of the weekend sun, heavy rain ahead next week

The Netherlands is in for a dry warm weekend with some sunny spells but next week it will turn colder and there will be heavy rain in the second half, according to weather bureau KNMI.
Temperatures will reach 19° on Saturday with plenty of sunshine and 19° on Sunday. The winds will be light and northeasterly. By Monday, however, it will drop to 13° with light showers in places and some sunny spells.
Tuesday will be similar but by Wednesday and Thursday the rain will be heavy and the chance of some sunshine minimal. The wind will also become a little stronger and shift to the west.
The KNMI long-term forecast says the changeable weather will continue well into the second half of May and that temperatures will remain below the seasonal average.
