The temperature on Wednesday is set to hit as high as 20° in southern parts of the Netherlands, weather forecasters say.

Tuesday will be cloudy and grey with some showers but on Wednesday the wind will become southerly, bringing in warmer air and plenty of sunshine. The temperature will range from 15° in the north to up to 20° in the south.

The temperature will fall again on Thursday, but with temperatures of around 10° it will still be warmer than average in February. There may also be rain bringing in some Saharan sand.

The KNMI long-range forecast is for changeable weather, warm for the time of year, with some sunshine and showers.
