Dutch police have issued an urgent appeal for help in finding three missing teenagers who have not been seen since Wednesday evening.

The three – two girls and a boy – are thought to have left the Noord-Brabant village of Sleeuwijk on foot that evening, but “no trace of them has been seen since,” police said.

One of the teenagers is said to be from Hardinxveld-Giessendam, across the Boven Merwede river from Sleeuwijk, but police have given no personal details about the other two.

One girl, who has not been named, has blonde hair and was carrying a black rucksack at the time of her disappearance. She was wearing a dark blue hoodie, light jeans and white trainers.

The other girl, named as Zoe, has short blonde curly hair and was wearing dark clothes. She is described as small and slight. The boy, Jesse, is around 1.60 metres tall, with curly brown hair and dark clothes.

The appeal, issued on social media, contains no further details about the three other than that they are minors.
