The KNMI weather bureau has issued a code yellow weather warning for the south of the country, apart from Zeeland, saying sleet and snow will again move in on Wednesday night, bringing slippery conditions to some roads.

Thursday will be cloudy nationwide and more snow will fall in southern and central parts of the country while in the north the sun will break through from time to time. The temperature will range from 1° in the north east to 5° in southern border areas.

The wind will be moderate inland but stronger on the coast during the day.

From the weekend, conditions will turn noticeably milder. Temperatures on Saturday morning will hover around freezing, but could reach 10° during the day. Rain is likely in most parts.

On Sunday and Monday, temperatures in many places will reach 10° or 11°, and on Wednesday parts of Groningen could see 12°, albeit with rain, according to weather bureau Weeronline. It will also say above zero a night.

The KNMI says the wet, milder weather will continue all week and there is a 70% of the changeable weather continuing towards the end of the month.
