Man arrested at Eindhoven airport with €250,000 in cash

Border police at Eindhoven airport have picked up a 54-year-old man from Deventer who was carrying €250,000 in cash.
The money was in the man’s luggage and was spotted during a check on his belongings. The cash – €50 and €100 notes – was hidden in envelopes and in articles of clothing, the border police said.
The man failed to provide a proper reason why he was carrying so much cash and was arrested on suspicion of money laundering. The cash has been confiscated.
