Delays continue on train service between Amsterdam and Utrecht

There will be fewer train services between Amsterdam and Utrecht on Monday as engineers struggle to repair two faulty points, rail network operator ProRail said on Monday.
Work on the points, which malfunctioned on Thursday, is proving “challenging”, the rail maintenance organisation said. Trains passing the two points have to adapt their speed, leading to delays and cancellations.
Repairs are ongoing and travellers are advised to consult the NS travel planner to make sure the service they plan to use is going ahead.
