Alkmaar football club AZ have reached the round of 16 of the Conference League with a 4-0 home win against FC Noah of Armenia.

AZ, the only Dutch club left in European competition, lost the first leg of their play-off tie 1-0.

AZ took the lead after five minutes with a volley from Ro-Zangelo Daal, and a Peer Koopmeiners – Sven Mijnans double act made it 2-0 just before half-time. Mijnans scored again just before the break, and Isak Jensen completed the scoreline towards the end of the second half.

They will meet either Greek side AEK or Sparta Prague in the first knockout round of the competition. The first leg of that tie will take place on March 12, with the return a week later.
