Local elections on March 18: thousands of foreigners can vote
On March 18, the Netherlands will hold new elections – this time to elect members of the country’s 342 local councils. Unlike in the national elections, people from EU countries will be able to vote, as will non-EU nationals who have lived in the Netherlands for five years.
