Four people were arrested in The Hague on Tuesday evening for throwing stones at the Iranian embassy and attempting to climb over the fence.

No damage has so far been reported and there were no injuries, but security has been increased around the building, according to local media.

There have been several demonstrations in Dutch cities in recent days in support of mass protests in Iran, which have left thousands of people dead.

On Tuesday, the Netherlands summoned Iran’s ambassador over the violence. “I am deeply shocked by the bloody repression of peaceful demonstrations in Iran,” caretaker foreign minister David van Weel said on social media.
