Empty shelves in some supermarkets as snow halts deliveries

The wintry weather has led to empty shelves in some Albert Heijn supermarkets because deliveries of fresh food in particular have been held up by the wintry weather.
Dairy, meat, fruit and veg deliveries have all run into problems in parts of the country, but the supermarket groups says it hopes normal service will resume on Wednesday.
“Whatever happens, we are doing our absolute best,” a spokesman told the Telegraaf.
Plus and Jumbo told local broadcaster RTV Utrecht that their stores have not yet been affected but both said they have had some problems making home deliveries.
