Warmer weather early this week but a chilly weekend awaits

After a cloudy start, the sun will gradually break through across much of the country on Tuesday. Temperatures will reach around 13°, with a moderate to fairly strong south-westerly wind, especially along the coast and in the Wadden Sea area.
By the afternoon, many places will see sunny periods, though the north will remain more overcast. It will stay dry, with temperatures around 13°. The evening will also be dry with temperatures dropping to between 7° and 11° overnight.
Wednesday will bring cloudy spells and some light rain in the north-west, while elsewhere it will remain dry with occasional sunshine, especially in the east and south and temperatures reaching 16° in the south.
Thursday will be even milder, with daytime temperatures of 13° to 17° across the country and possibly 18° in southern Limburg. Sunshine will alternate with clouds, but later in the day rain will spread from the west.
Friday will be wet and cooler, with widespread rain and temperatures will drop to around 10° in the north and 14° in the south. The weekend will bring a mix of sun, clouds and occasional showers. A moderate north-easterly wind will draw in colder air, with daytime temperatures between 7° and 10°.
During the nights, temperatures may dip close to freezing inland, marking the first local frost of the season.
Next week will remain slightly unsettled and cool, with daytime temperatures of 7° to 9° and a chance of overnight frost.
