Temperatures could reach 18° this week in the south

The Netherlands is in for an unusually warm spell this week, with temperatures expected to rise to around 18° in the south by Wednesday, according to weather bureau Weeronline.
Monday will remain mostly cloudy, with light rain or drizzle at times in the north and central regions. The south will stay largely dry apart from a few brief showers but there may be strong winds along the coast.
Tuesday will bring drier, milder weather with a mix of cloud and sunshine. The south and east are likely to see the most sunny weather, while a local shower may develop in the west later in the day. Temperatures will rise to 14° or 15°, accompanied by a moderate to fairly strong southerly wind.
On Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures could reach 16° across much of the country, and possibly 18° locally in the south. That is significantly warmer than the seasonal average of around 11° or 12° for early November. Night-time temperatures will stay mild at 8° to 12°.
After Friday, temperatures are expected to dip slightly but remain above average for the time of year. Occasional rain or showers are possible, but most areas will stay dry with a mix of sun and cloud.
