Code amber storm warning for coastal areas on Thursday evening

The KNMI weather bureau on Wednesday afternoon increased its weather warning for Thursday evening and Friday morning in coastal areas to code amber.
Storm Benjamin is set to hit the Zeeland around 6pm on Thursday evening and will move northwards over Zuid-Holland and Noord-Holland during the evening, bringing winds of up to 120 kph, the KNMI said.
Earlier the agency had issued a code yellow warning for the entire country apart from Groningen and Drenthe. Code yellow now applies in the rest of the country.
Thursday itself will be dry with sunny spells, but some rain will move into western areas from late afternoon as the wind picks up.
The storm will fade out during Friday, but the wet and windy weather will continue towards the end of the month.
