Summer will be back this weekend with warm days and plenty of sunshine weather bureau Weeronline said on Thursday.

On Friday, temperatures will reach up to 22° in the afternoon, with the occasional shower inland. As the wind drops so will evening temperatures, to 7° in the west of the country and 11° in the east.

Saturday will be another sunny day, with temperatures rising from 10° in the morning to a respectable 23° or 24°, Weeronline said. The Wadden Islands will see maximum temperatures of 21°.

More of the same is forecast for Sunday, with moderate to strong southeasterly winds, bringing summer temperatures of 25° to 28° with them. Towards evening, showers will move in from Zeeland to the rest of the country.

Next week, the weather will become more changeable and temperatures will gradually go down to 19° or 20° as the week progresses.

The KNMI’s long-range forecasts sees the changeable weather continuing, and temperatures dropping to below the seasonal average.
