A short video satirising Disney’s decision to pull a popular talk show because of the host’s comments on the murder of Maga campaigner Charlie Kirk has gone viral for Dutch TV presenter Arjen Lubach.

The film, which shows snippets of classic Disney films with new texts based on president Donald Trump statements and opinions, has been viewed over 10 million times since it was first broadcast on Thursday, the Lubach editorial team has told news agency ANP.

ABC, which is part of the Disney empire, took the Jimmy Kimmel talk show off air this week.

The film includes Belle’s father in Beauty and the Beast saying he would date his daughter, and Princess Anna from Frozen stating that global warming is not true because her snowman friend Olaf has not melted. In another section, Aladdin is taken away by ICE immigration officials.

In his commentary, Lubach says that even a giant like Disney is terrified of Trump. “Everything has to be done exactly as Trump likes it,” he said.

Disney has not yet commented on the pastiche.

In 2017 Lubach had another big hit in the US when he urged Americans to put “the Netherlands second”.
