Boy, 16, dies in suspected arson attack on home in Roermond

A 16-year-old boy was killed in a blaze at his home in Roermond in Limburg early on Tuesday.
His mother and 14-year-old brother were seriously injured and taken to a hospital in Maastricht by helicopter. Police are investigating the fire, which they are treating as suspicious.
The fire started at 7.45am in a block of flats on Plutolaan. Fire services were able to contain the fire and no evacuations had to take place, a spokesman for the safety region told local broadcaster L1Nieuws.
