Wins for Utrecht and AZ in European competition qualifiers

There was good news for two Dutch football clubs involved in qualifying rounds for European competitions in the coming season on Thursday night.
FC Utrecht saw off Sheriff Tirasapol 4-1 at home, having beaten the Moldavan side 3-1 away last week. That means the Utrecht club will now meet Swiss club Servette FC in the next round to qualify for the group stage of the Europa League.
AZ of Alkmaar had a convincing 5-0 home win against Finland’s Ilves Tampere and will now take part in the third qualifying round of the Conference League competition.
The win made up for last week’s painful 4-3 away loss and AZ will meet Liechtenstein club FC Vaduz in the next leg.
In the Champions League Feyenoord of Rotterdam meet Turkish club Fenerbahçe in the first leg of their third-round qualifier on August 6.
Ajax and PSV are already placed in the group stage.
