Warm and sunny start before showers move in later this week

The summery weather in the Netherlands is set to continue until Wednesday but there could be some localised showers and by Thursday, rain is likely to be widespread, according to weather bureau Weeronline.
By Tuesday afternoon the temperature could rise to as high as 29° in parts of Brabant and Limburg although the Wadden islands will stay cooler, just under 25°, Weeronline said.
Clouds will gradually build from the west, and a few showers are possible, with a small chance of thunder. Along the west coast the wind will shift to the southwest, bringing slightly lower temperatures of 21° to 23°.
Wednesday is set to remain largely dry, with sunny intervals and temperatures of 25° to 27° inland. The southwest wind will stay light to moderate and any showers are likely to be brief and isolated.
The weather turns more unsettled from Thursday. Rain and local thunderstorms are expected to spread from the west during the day, with heavy downpours possible before the sun returns later in the day.
Temperatures will fall back to 21° to 23° in most of the country, though the east may briefly reach 25°. Friday will bring further showers, particularly inland, with highs of around 22°.
The weekend will be changeable, with both sunshine and rain showers and temperatures close to the seasonal norm at 20° to 22°. The unsettled pattern is expected to continue into the first days of September, with afternoon highs around 20°, the KNMI weather bureau said.
