A father and daughter fishing for scrap metal with a magnet in The Hague have pulled a bag containing 18 guns out of the water, local media Regio 15 reported on Sunday.

The guns were in a black bag and it is unclear how long they had been in the canal close to the Erasmusweg. At least some of them may be real, a police spokesman told Omroep West.

Divers were sent into the water to look for more, but without result. Police explosives experts are now examining the haul.

Earlier this month, another bag containing 24 guns was pulled out of the water near the Erasmusweg, Regio 15 said.
