Those affected include people who make the route planners, sales staff and customer service personnel, TomTom said.

The company currently has a workforce of 3,600, of whom around 1,200 people workin the Netherlands. Less than half the job losses will be in the Netherlands itself.

TomTom, which booked a net loss of €17 million last year, said the change will “improve the experience” for clients.
