Telecoms provider Odido confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that its network has been hit by a major outage and that clients are largely unable to use their phones.

Simpel and Ben, two other labels operated by Odido, are also affected by the problems.

The nationwide problem stems from an emergency repair made earlier in the day to solve a smaller breakdown, Odido said. There is no evidence that the telecoms firm has been hit by a cyber attack, a spokesman told Dutch media.

People with a different provider can also experience problems if they try to reach people with Odido subscriptions.
