Sunny, dry weather to continue well into May, say forecasters

The current dry weather is set to continue well into May, with forecasters predicting blazing sunshine and temperatures of up to 24° next weekend.

National weather bureau KNMI has no rain at all in its forecast for the coming week, apart from in the north on Tuesday. Temperatures, it says, will reach around 14° on Tuesday and then gradually rise towards the weekend.

The KNMI also says there is an 80% chance that the dry, sunny conditions will continue into the following week, although temperatures remain uncertain.

Weerplaza also expects the high-pressure system to persist throughout the month, bringing more sunshine and no rain. It says the second half of May is likely to be warmer.

May is typically one of the driest months of the year, Weerplaza points out.
