Dutch house prices up 10% on a year ago, latest figures show

House prices in the Netherlands rose by an average of 10.2% in April compared with a year ago, but the month-on-month increase was just 0.7%, according to new figures from national statistics agency CBS.
The figures are based on completed transactions recorded by the land registry office and therefore lag behind the data compiled by estate agents organisation NVM.
There were also more transactions last month. The land registry (kadaster) recorded 18,915 sales, an increase of over 20% compared with a year ago.
In the first four months of 2025, over 70,000 homes changed hands in the Netherlands, up 17% on the same period in 2024.
House prices have been rising steadily since June 2023.
