Two people have been killed in an accident in the Sluiskiltunnel close to Terneuzen in Zeeland. Both victims were in the cab of a tanker which bounced from one side to the other before turning on its side.

What caused the accident is still unclear but it was recorded on surveillance camera footage, broadcaster NOS reported. No other vehicles were involved

The tunnel, which is 1.3 kilometres long, was closed for a time in both directions, while the southern tunnel was kept free for the emergency services.
