It’s winter time! The clocks go back on Saturday night

October 25, 2024

The clocks go back one hour in the early hours of Sunday morning as the Netherlands and most of western Europe move into winter time.
The shift into winter time also means a change in the weather. The KNMI weather bureau says that while the temperature on Saturday could be as high as 20°, from Sunday onwards it will fall back to the mid teens, with overcast skies and some rain.

By early November, the temperatures will fall further, but the sun could be back and there is a 20% chance of night frosts, according to the bureau’s long range forecast.

The clocks will go forward again on the last Sunday in March next year.
