Summer is set to return, with 24° and plenty of sunshine
Summer is set to return in the coming days, with temperatures up to 24° on Wednesday and Thursday next week, according to weather bureau Weeronline.
While September 1 was the warmest on record, Thursday night was chilly, with the temperature dropping to -0.3° just above ground level, the weather bureau said.
The first sub-zero temperatures are usually recorded at the end of the month.
The coming weekend will be dry with sunny spells and temperatures around 18°, Weeronline said on Friday. On Monday the wind will shift to the north and bring a few light showers but it will be 20°.
From Tuesday the wind will move to the east and bring in warmer weather, with temperatures gradually rising as the week progresses. There will be no rain and plenty of sunshine as well.
The KNMI’s long-range forecast foresees more of the same continuing towards the end of the month, although it will become cooler by the last week, with a greater likelihood of rain.
