A warm weekend ahead, but the rain will return with a vengeance

The Netherlands is set for some higher temperatures in the coming days, although the rain will be back at the weekend.

Thursday and Friday will be dry and sunny, with temperatures up to 25° on the Wadden Islands on Friday, and they could top 30° inland.

Saturday will be warmer still, but thunderstorms may move across the country in the evening. On Sunday, it will be cooler and more unsettled, with rain and some thunder likely across the country.

Next week maximum temperatures will again be in the low 20s with sunny spells and showers. The KNMI weather bureau sees little change heading towards the end of the month, with 40% chance of rain on a daily basis.
