Inflation stable at 2.7% in May, preliminary figures show
Inflation remained stable at 2.7% in May, according to preliminary estimates from national statistics office CBS.
Energy, including motor fuels, food and drink, and services all cost more, but the price of industrial goods fell, the CBS said.
Calculated according to EU methodology, which excludes the impact of rental housing, inflation was also 2.7% in May, up marginally from 2.6% in April.
Eurozone inflation was 2.4% in April, according to the most recent figures from European statistics agency Eurostat.
