A goal from Kenneth Taylor in extra time put Amsterdam football club Ajax into the round of 16 of the Conference League, the third tier of European football, on Thursday night.

The Amsterdammers beat Bodø/Glimt 1-2 in front of the Norwegian side’s home crowd, after drawing 2-2 in the first leg in Amsterdam.

Ajax will find out later on Friday who they will meet in the round of 16, with the first leg taking place on March 7 and the return a week later. Potential opponents include Lille, Aston Villa, and Turkish club Fenerbahçe.

There was disappointment for Feyenoord who were put out of the Europa League on Thursday night after losing on penalties to AS Roma. It is the third time in a row that the Rotterdammers have been eliminated from Europe by the Italian club.

PSV drew 1-1 against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday and will meet the German side on March 13 in the second leg of their bid for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
