The driver of a Porsche turned heads in Amsterdam on Tuesday by taking a wrong turn into a basement bike store.

Podcaster Arend Jan Kamp captured the moment when the grey sports car headed down the steps into the bike park on Beursplein.

The car, registered in the UK in 2015, may have been trying to drive into the Q-park garage further along Beursplein.

According to Het Parool the fire brigade was not called out to recover the vehicle, so it is likely the driver managed to make their own way out.

Amsterdam launched a campaign last year imploring young British tourists who associate the capital with drug-fuelled hedonism to “stay away”.
