Big cities buck national trend with wins for GroenLinks/PvdA

The far-right PVV narrowly emerged as the biggest party in Rotterdam and The Hague but the GroenLinks/PvdA alliance was by far the biggest in Amsterdam and Utrecht, and just beat Geert Wilder’s group in Eindhoven, Leeuwarden and Groningen.

Denk, which gathers most of its support among ethnic minority groups, was the fourth party in The Hague and Rotterdam and just made the top 5 in the Dutch capital. In Amstelveen, the VVD lost support, but held on to the top spot.
