A 0-3 win over De Graafschap on Thursday night put Amsterdam football club Ajax into the semi-finals of the KNVB Cup alongside PSV, Feyenoord and amateur side Spakenburg.

Earlier in the evening, PSV beat ADO Den Haag, under the leadership of Dick Advocaat, 3-1 to reach the second last round of the cup competition.

It is the first time in 18 years that the traditional top three Dutch clubs have survived to the final rounds of the cup, and only the third time ever that an amateur club has made it so far.

The draw for the semi-finals takes place on Saturday at 10.30 pm.
