Police arrest Syrians on suspicion of terrorist intent

Police have arrested two brothers from Syria on Wednesday on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, the public prosecution office has said.

The apprehension of the brothers, 20 and 22, at their home in Stein, Limburg, was based on information gathered by Dutch security service AIVD. No weapons or explosives were found in a subsequent search.

The public prosecution office said it will not give out any information until more becomes known about the brothers’ intentions.

The public prosecution office said it did not expect any further arrests in the case.
