A 12-year-old Dutch girl has died following a skiing accident at the Spieljoch resort in Tirol, Austria, on Sunday.
Austrian police said the girl lost her balance during a descent, went off piste and hit a tree. She was airlifted to a hospital in Innsbruck where she succumbed to her injuries.
Earlier that day a 62-year-old woman was seriously hurt after colliding with another skier in Kitzbühel, also in Tirol. She is in a hospital in Innsbruck with unknown injuries.
