It might be autumn, but the summery temperatures are back
Southerly winds may bring record temperatures to the Netherlands in the coming days, with up to 23 Celsius forecast for Friday, the KNMI weather bureau said.
Wednesday and Thursday will also be warm for the time of year, but it will be mainly cloudy with a slight chance of showers.
Friday and the weekend will be warmer still, with sunny spells and showers, and the unseasonable temperatures will continue well into next week, the KNMI said.
According to Weerplaza, it could be as summery as 24 Celsius in Eindhoven and Maastricht on Friday, setting new warm weather records.
The KNMI puts the chance of the warm weather continuing well into November at 70% to 80%.
