PSV Eindhoven strengthened their chances of reaching the knock out round of the Europa League on Thursday night with a 5-0 home win over Zurich.

PSV are now second in Group A with seven points from three games, and just two points behind group leader Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord could do no more than a 2-2 draw against Danish side Midtjylland, after giving away a 2-0 lead in their Europa League tie. The two teams drew 2-2 in the first leg last week.

The Rotterdammers lead group F on goal differences, with all four sides on five points with two games to go. ‘It was a joy to behold how much we had improved from last week,’ Feyenoord coach Arno Slot said after the game..

In the Conference League there was disappointment for AZ Alkmaar, who were beaten 1-0 by Apollon of Greece. It was the first defeat for the Dutch side in the competition, who retain the lead in Group E with nine points from four games.
