Weather forecasters see warm, sunny weather ahead, well into May

Warm, mainly sunny weather is back in the Netherlands from Wednesday, the KNMI weather bureau said, with temperatures reaching up to 20 Celsius or higher by the weekend.

Wednesday will be sunny although some cloud will gather in the evening from the west. The temperature will range from 12 Celsius on the Wadden islands to 19 Celsius in the south east.

Thursday, Liberation Day, will start out cloudy although this will clear as the day progresses and temperatures will be similar to today. There is a slight chance of some localised showers, the KNMI said.

The rest of the week will have plenty of sunshine as the temperature rises, with  Monday set to be in the low 20s Celsius.

The KNMI says there is a 60% chance of more of the same warm, sunny weather as the month progresses.

Weeronline and Weerplaza paint a similar picture but Weeronline warns there could also be light showers on Friday and Saturday.
