The Netherlands may be hit by winds of up to 110 kph on Wednesday night, as storm Dudley moves over the sea from Britain.

The KNMI has issued a code yellow warning for the entire country from 9pm on Wednesday evening and several coronavirus test and vaccination centres in tents have been closed as a precaution, broadcaster RTL Nieuws said.

It will also be windy on Thursday, with winds of up to 90kph, but it will become less blustery as evening approaches.

The wind will continue on Friday – when there is a reasonable chance of another storm warning later in the day – and into the weekend, the KNMI weather bureau said. However it will be relatively warm for the time of year, with temperatures between eight and 13 degrees.
