Police are worried about the health of the mother of a dead baby found by a bin in a holiday home park in Brabant on Wednesday afternoon and are urging her to come forward.

The baby was found by a passer-by who reportedly spotted a green rubbish bag next to a bin in the Wernhout estate, where some people live permanently. When he wanted to put the bag in the bin, he found it contained the lifeless body of a newborn and alerted police.

Police are searching the area with dogs and helicopters and are calling on anyone who may have seen something that might help them in their inquiries to come forward.
