Wet weather ahead but the sun may break through at times
There may be some sunny spells on Thursday and Friday, but in the main the weather in the coming days will be chilly, with rain and possibly hail at times, according to weather bureau KNMI.
Thursday will be cloudy but the sun may break through in places, particularly in the south east. In the evening it will be windy and there may be hail in coastal regions.
Overnight, the wet weather will clear up and it will become colder, with northwesterly winds. There may be some short showers on Christmas Day but the evening will be dry, if windy. Overnight, temperatures will drop to around freezing inland, and roads may be slippery in places.
Saturday and Sunday will be chilly, with a 90% chance of rain, the KNMI said, and there is little change in the run-up to New Year.
