Dutch exports recover in October, led by chemicals, agricultural products
Dutch exports rose 4.1% in October compared with October 2019, despite the coronavirus pandemic, national statistics agency CBS said on Monday.
Chemicals, agricultural products and machinery accounted to for the bulk of the recovery, the CBS said. Imports were virtually unchanged year on year.
Exports fell sharply at the start of the crisis, falling 4.6% in March and 13.3% in April. Since then, however, the figures have recovered and rose for the first time in September, by a marginal 0.5%.
